Welcome to the 2nd Annual TZC Bracket Challenge! James B.W. Bevis was the 2011 winner (congrats again, Beev). I'm sure many of you have already made (or will soon make) your picks for this year's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and thought it would be fun for anyone interested to submit their bracket to a Twilight Zone Cafe group I created on cbssports.com. Sign up is quick and easy and it will keep a tally and ranking of all our scores. You will not need to make picks for any of the "First Four" games that were played yesterday or today.

Deadline for submitting your brackets is 11 am EDT on Thursday prior to the start of Round 1 games.

Tiebreaker is the total score of the final game.

Scoring
Round # - Points for correct pick
Round 1 - 1
Round 2 - 2
Round 3 - 4
Round 4 - 8
Round 5 - 16
Round 6 - 32

Max brackets per user: 1

Technically, that is incorrect. Somehow, I was actually the 2011 winner. TimothyJinx merely had the highest score among people who knew anything about college basketball.

I love college basketball. Although a New Yorker, I hate Syracuse. Teams like Kentucky, seem to be given every chance to reach the championship, by letting them play opening round games close to home. Duke and North Carolina got those advantages in past tournaments.

This is the main reason, I don't think much of UCLA championships. It was like the networks and the NCAA wanted the Bruins in the Champiomship game. Sure they had great teams and great players, but how many times did I see UCLA play the West Regional Championship game on their home court, Pauley Pavilion? Long Beach State, Weber State and other teams had to play against UCLA, on the Bruins home court with thousands of fans cheering UCLA and booing them. That is why I always hated UCLA, and don't like it when a top seeded team is given a unfair advantage.

I was almost too heartbroken to watch last night's championship game after Ohio State practically gave away their Final Four game to Kansas on Saturday night. Congrats to Kentucky and best wishes to your star players; may they all be first round NBA draft picks later this year.
