SciFiMs wrote:^ ^ ^ ^ ^It took a bit of searching, Jayo, but I finally found a copy. Yes, the two stories are similar. But develop the characters, craft a story around them, and you could possibly transform it into a TZ-like episode. If Rod Serling were still around, I think he could make it into a TZ episode.

I was looking for something to watch on tv while I did laundry, and one of the PBS stations was showing a Celtic Thunder concert, so I put that on. It was 'beg-a-thon week', so they kept interrupting for fundraising spiels. If you donated a certain amount, you got a dvd with extra material. They were showing some clips from the dvd, and in one of them, one of the guys was singing 'Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair'!
Earlier, another PBS station was showing a collection of clips of Broadway songs on the Ed Sullivan Show during their 'beg-a-thon' week. They were talking about Camelot during one of the breaks. They showed an old lobby poster, and it had Roddy McDowell's name on it!

Mom and I were watching the Laugh-In 25th Anniversary Special on dvd, and a couple of the News of the Future bits were uncannily spot-on:
20 years later--1989--the Berlin Wall comes down.
20 years later--1988--Ronald Reagan is President.
I almost started humming the TZ theme!

I was goofing around on Youtube, and found a video of 'Best Disney Villain Deaths'. One of them was Mother Gothel from Tangled.
She dies the way Walter Jameson dies.

So, last week, mom and I were hanging out at her place, and I was looking through her Disney Voice Actors book. I looked up who played Sleeping Beauty, and found it was an opera singer named Mary Costa. Her entry said she only made a handful of other movies, including a 1972 period piece called The Great Waltz.
A couple of days ago, I was channel-surfing, and what were they showing on TCM? You guessed it--The Great Waltz! I watched for a couple minutes because they were showing a scene with Costa. The movie is apparently a biopic about Johann Strauss.

Had a weird one this week. On Wednesday, dad and I were in the backyard, and he said he was probably going to have a tree service come out and take a big dead branch off the Norway Maple by our back fence.
Thursday, dad got up to find the dead branch had come down during the night!
