Edit, March 1, 2009: 1) This thread is out of date. For now, no "spoiler rule" (i.e., rule requiring members to post warnings before revealing story endings, or other key plot twists) is currently being enforced. A discussion of our spoiler policy is currently in progress here.
Please be aware that some board posts "spoil" important plot details--of TZ episodes and other story plots--without prior warning. Please also be aware that many (though not all) members consider posting spoiler warnings an important courtesy toward fellow members.--Beev
Warning: Some Cafe posts spoil TZ episodes, and other stories, without giving "spoiler warnings" in advance. ("Story" can mean television episode, movie, book, etc.).
1. Spoiler warnings for a story are not required in a topic thread about that story.
So...if you haven't seen a TZ episode, movie, etc. please be aware that you read a thread about it at your own risk.
2. In other threads, please mark "spoiler" before directly or indirectly spoiling a story's ending, or other key plot twists not revealed early in the story. Remember to mention what story or stories you are spoiling. The boundary between spoilers and non-spoilers is hard to define, but please be considerate and use your best judgment.
Spoiler warnings ordinarily go in the same post where the ending or other plot twists are revealed. If there will be many spoilers in a thread, a spoiler warning should go in the title, subtitle, or (if necessary) first post of the thread.
SPECIAL NOTE: From July 2007 to December 2007, spoilers for Classic TZ were OK anywhere on the board, without warnings. I (James B. W. Bevis) am in the process of cleaning up the obvious ones. Still, please be somewhat wary.
LeenZone has agreed to serve as our Spoiler Moderator. She will be deciding what is a spoiler, what isn't, and what to do about it. I think she will do a good job. To give her as much independence in that position as possible, I won't be questioning her decisions unless I get a specific complaint from a member. Please feel free to address your spoiler concerns to Leen or to me, but preferably to Leen first. Thanks.
