at 2:24 pm today on 1/11/05, i will be 39.

i sent this to many of my friends today to let them know how spent my morning. hope you get as big a kick out of it as i hope they did.

how to spen your birthday. then again.....
ok, today i turned 39 at 2:24 pm.
i started the day by not working as i had a doctors appointment ( 6 month checkup on my lungs. everything is ok BTW). after that, i went to have my dinosaur at HOOTERS.
as soon as i walked in, i saw this girl i have gotten to know pretty good recently. i whispered to her that it was my birthday but to not embarass me. she gave me a big hug and told me happy birthday. i sat in her section and we talked a bit.
everything went fine until about 20 minutes later. i heard clapping by a group of girls. i knew then, that i was in trouble. yep, the whole crowd came to me. my waitress had the megaphone and declared that it was my birthday. she gave me a birthday sash to wrap around me made up of register tape. then...oh lord, the balloons. she proceded to tie the big orange floppy ballons around me. so you can imagine what that implied. as they sang a birthday song, i had to jump up and down ( i only did it once to show i was a good sport). when it got done, this other girl that works there, said, "nice boobs". well, that's how that went. definitley something to do by yourself. having friends with me would have sure meant a more embarrasing moment. a room full of strangers is not as bad.
my waitress asked if i was mad at her. she said she had to do something. of course i wasn't.
oh, and i had me a piece of chocolate fudge cheesecake for dessert.
well, now i'm home.
