In following today's news about the train wreck in Hoboken, NJ, I cannot help but be reminded of the climactic ending to the 19776 movie, Silver Streak, starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.  There is almost an eerie similarity in that both involved an out of control train, traveling at high speed, breaking past the bumpers at the end of the track and crashing into a major station.  Perhaps the main difference was only that the the movie version ended in Chicago instead.
