RIP Lynn Whiting! The trainer of 1992 Kentucky Derby winner Lil E. Tee was 77. He (yes, he) was a true horseman. His fellow trainers respected him and knew it wasn't smart to underestimate him. Even Hall of Famer D. Wayne Lukas said of Whiting, "Lynn doesn't run his horses in a race just to watch them in the post parade."
Say hi to Lil E. Tee when you see him, Mr. Whiting!

So far, I'm leaning toward the three 'G's'--Gunnevera, Gormley, and Girvin. I am wondering if Girvin will actually run, though, or if the hoof crack will keep him out.
I'm thinking about Irish War Cry, too. Got to admit, I like his name.
Bet my dad will be partial to Battle Of Midway, since he's a WWII Navy buff.

Always Dreaming made his connections' dreams come true by winning the Derby! Longshots Looking At Lee (33-1) and Battle Of Midway (40-1) finished second and third.
Thunder Snow came out of the gate, fell back, started bucking and jumping, and was pulled up. He walked off the track on his own, so hopefully he's ok.
Anybody betting on Cloud Computing to win the Preakness before the race would have been considered to have their heads in the clouds. After the race, however, they would have been on cloud nine!
He paid $28. Nice return on a $2 bet, no?
Just-retired champion mare Tepin has been confirmed in foal to Curlin.
Her connections were going to wait until next year to breed her, but when she unexpectedly went into heat, they felt they couldn't pass up the opportunity.
